Reporting to: Sales Director
Background
We are a Tanzanian company in the integrated food industry business.
The company operates several activities in the field of agriculture; including farming, ranching, food packaging, import and export.
The Company cultivates most of its own products to ensure product quality, product traceability and the high quality standards according to international standards and certifications in agricultural processes.
Being in line with the current industrial uprising in the country, we are looking to recruit 3 sales and marketing personnel in 3 regions of Tanzania (Dar es salaam, Tanga and Kilimanjaro) to boost a national presence of our products.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Sales Personnel
  • Push product sales and acts as an intermediary between the company and clients.
  • Allow clients and potential clients to make product inquiries as necessary.
  • Engage in superior customer service by making information readily available
  • Demonstrate products and services as deemed necessary by clients and management
  • Schedule appointments and meetings as necessary to help sales.
  • Make product info readily available to self and other sales people through various resources
  • Find creative ways to sell products in the face of a down market
  • Research client base to find new types of customers and sells to them accordingly
  • Create a plan for gaining customers and then retaining them based on warranties or guarantees
  • Analyze the competition to create a plan for engagement
  • Participate in brand improvement to make the product appealing to the target market
  • Train other sales personnel in the art of selling
  • Meet sales targets during a given period
  • Set up booths at trade shows and demonstrate the quality and uses of our product
  • Demonstrate good time management skills
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Trustworthy,
  • Good written and verbal communication skills,
  • Basic Math Skills,
  • Creative,
  • Demonstrated Experience,
  • Basic Computer Literacy (Microsoft Office),
  • Knowledge of Basic Accounting,
  • Available and flexible to start work immediately,
  • Should be a resident of either Dar es salaam, Tanga or Kilimanjaro,
  • Should possess a driving license,
  • Knowledge/ Background in agricultural issues will be an added advantage.
