IPE Global Limited (IPE Global) is an international development consulting group, based in Delhi, providing expert technical assistance and solutions for equitable development and sustainable growth in developing countries, including East Africa.

Together with the Springfield Centre and our local Tanzanian partner, we are currently recruiting for a forthcoming urban jobs programme in Dar es Salaam. The objective of the programme is to create employment and increased incomes for poor people in Dar es Salaam, with a particular focus on women and youth. The programme is designed to achieve this by applying a market systems development approach to improving the competitiveness and performance of 3 priority sectors: light manufacturing; solid waste management and child care services.

We are looking for dynamic, enterprising team players for both full-time and part-time roles who can commit to working with us over the 5-year duration of the programme and who can complement our existing in-house expertise. Qualifications:

We are recruiting a multi-disciplinary team of both Tanzanian and international experts who combine the following expertise:

• Previous experience of designing and implementing market systems development (and value chain) approaches in Tanzania, and /or the wider EAC;
• Good local knowledge of the political economy of Dar es Salaam, the local private sector and in-depth understanding of both local and national government;
• Recent experience in the practical design of M & E systems for donor funded programmes focusing on private sector development, with knowledge of the DCED results standard a distinct advantage;
• A qualified accounting professional with experience in designing and running grant based programmes and managing donor funded procurement process.
